Procrastination – Why Does A Person Procrastinate?

by Allison Thompson

positive motivation There are a number of different that can cause to fail in their lives one of them being that the procrastinate far too much. Unfortunately procrastination can be so severe for some people that it prevents them from achieving what they want by placing obstacles of their own making in their way. It is through procrastination a person will choose a particular path to travel in their results which will not allow them to achieve their desired goals.

Unfortunately although you may not realize it, but you could actually be a procrastinator yourself. In this article we provide you with some pointers which will help you to identify and hopefully understand what procrastination is and whether you actually are one yourself.

1. For the 20% of people who have identified themselves as being chronic procrastinators will know that it is a particular lifestyle and is going to intrude into all aspects of their life. For these particular people leading what would be considered a normal kind of life is very difficult.

2. Many people who tend to procrastinate do not actually have problems in managing the time they have available to them. What they actually find difficult to do is calculate just how much they will need in order for them to complete a particular task.

3. There are some people who believe that a procrastinator is actually born with their problem and this is not so. For many the problem will evolve over the years and will be related to the kind of upbringing they have had as well as how they interact with others. For example if a child is brought up by parents who are very controlling then the likelihood of them becoming a procrastinator is greatly increased. Simply because they will not have the chance to learn how to deal with situations and problems that any normal child would have to do.

4. A lot of people who procrastinate will generally consume more alcohol than those that don’t. This is simply because they use it as a way of helping them to avoid their problems and as a crutch to help them get through the worse times.

5. Quite a few people who like to procrastinate more than what would be considered to be normal will look at ways of distracting themselves from the task in hand. Often rather than dealing with the task that needs to be dealt with they will look to do something that is much simpler and therefore easier for them to complete. This then helps to alleviate the feelings of guilt they may have because they were not able to achieve the goals where the original task was concerned. Often they will avoid carrying out the much more difficult task because they do not feel they have the skills to complete correctly.

Yet for those who have identified that they do procrastinate there are certain things that they can do which can help them to make changes and fight procrastinating. Although it is important that when looking for ways to prevent yourself from procrastinating that the changes you make will take time to help you. A person can undergo cognitive behavioral with a trained therapist as a way of making the necessary changes in their lives as well as to understand better why the procrastinate.

You don’t get a business coach because you need one. No one really needs a coach, but industry leaders decide to hire one because they understand that a coach’s help can increase their productivity and give them a competitive edge.

Positive MotivationIf you own your own company, you have the perfect place to utilize the counsel and guidance your business coach provides you. Maybe you are considering expanding your firm, but you need help in getting started. Maybe you are one of those people who prefer employment as business managers. Maybe you feel like you’re drowning in dozens of little details and you need assistance with establishing your priorities. An experienced and trustworthy business coach can help you to identify your personal goals and can guide you towards reaching them.

Poise and confidence are necessary to business success. Business coaching can show you what you’re doing wrong and help you correct your mistakes. A good business coach can help you learn new habits and feel more positive about yourself and the way you’re running your business, giving you the self-assurance you need to succeed.

A business coach brings a fresh perspective to your business, one that can offer impartial advice without a hidden agenda. Coaches aren’t compensated according to a balance sheet, so they aren’t going to fire your valued employees or implement Draconian cost-cutting measures. Helping you achieve your goals is their only concern. Coaching is a joint venture. Your coach will help you set goals and give you the help you need to achieve them.

Some coaches will only work with a business owner for a few weeks, if the business owner just needs a specific services such as devising a marketing plan. However, many business coaches are hired for months or even years. The length of a coach’s contract should depend on how you intend to work with the coach, the goals you have in mind, and the frequency of meetings with your coach. You will want to work together with your coach for a longer period of time if your goals are expansive than if your goals are fairly modest.

You are the only one who can decide if getting a coach for your business is the right decision. Coaching is a collaborative effort, with the coach teaching you to assess both your strengths and weaknesses and giving you advice to take your business to its maximum potential. A small investment could be a wise choice for your business with all the training, motivation, guidance and mentoring you will receive from a professional business coach. Thus we can state that business coaching can have a positive impact on financial companies.

When you own your own business, a business coach is a valuable asset; he or she will be able to enable you to reach your goals. Business coaches help individuals to become good business managers by teaching business expansion tactics, providing sound advice and guidance, and by aiding you in prioritizing. If you do not believe in yourself, you are certain to fail in the corporate world. However, quality business coaching can identify your weak spots and improve your strong points. The end result is an individual that can deal with any situation that might arise. The effect of coaching on financial companies is unquestionably a positive one.
